Yes, there is a non-refundable, $150 consultation fee due to the highly personalized nature of Dr. Bruno’s consultations and the limited appointment availability each week. This fee must be processed at the time you schedule your appointment in order to secure your consultation date and time. Appointments cannot be made without the consultation fee being processed.
The consultation is one of the most important steps in your surgical journey. During this visit, Dr. Bruno, a board certified Plastic Surgeon, will take the time to understand your concerns and aesthetic goals, review your medical history, perform a detailed physical exam, and create a customized surgical plan tailored to your needs. He will explain your options, discuss which procedures will and will not work for you, and answer all your questions so you feel fully informed and confident in your decision.
You must give 72 hours notice to reschedule your consultation.
After pregnancy your body will need about 4-6 months to recover and return to its pre pregnancy physiologic state before having surgery. You will also want to get back to your pre-pregnancy weight. If you’re breastfeeding you will need to wait until you are done breast feeding and your milk has completely dried up. Also, if you are currently breastfeeding and would like to consult about a breast procedure, you will need to wait until your breast milk has dried up and you have not seen any visible changes in the shape of your breasts.
Patient safety is always the top priority and it is recommended that your BMI be close to 30 to have surgery. However, there are some exceptions that can be made based on the surgery, the patient anatomy, and overall health. We will discuss this during your consultation.
Dr. Bruno strongly advises patients to use caution doing the reduction through insurance as the insurance company normally requires a significant amount of breast tissue be removed in order to cover the procedure. This often results in a smaller breast than you would like and compromises the shape of the breast. The insurance company is thus determining your size which should be determined by you and your surgeon.
